Wedding season is here, and our very own esthetician Amaya is tying the knot! Preparing for your big day isn’t just about the dress and the flowers… it’s also about feeling confident in your skin. The truth is, glowing bridal skin doesn’t happen overnight. Ideally, wedding prep treatments should start at least one year before your big day, especially if you are concerned with acne, scarring, texture, deep lines, fine lines and wrinkles, or overall facial balancing.

At Viva Skin Lounge, we specialize in helping brides look and feel their best with customized treatment plans. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at Amaya’s personal wedding prep journey and the treatments she chose to ensure her skin is radiant when she walks down the aisle.

Amaya’s Bridal Treatment Timeline

March – Jeuveau (neurotoxin) to smooth fine lines and prevent wrinkles
April – DiamondGlow facial + dermaplane for exfoliation and hydration
May – HydraFacial + dermaplane for that fresh, bridal glow
June – PRF with SkinPen microneedling plus a Jeuveau touch-up
July – HydraFacial + dermaplane for skin health maintenance
August – Lip filler (½ syringe) + chin filler for subtle balancing, along with Dysport
September – HydraFacial + dermaplane for final glow before the big day

Amaya’s treatment plan included neurotoxin for prevention, since she’s in her 20s. She used just the right dose to soften frown lines, forehead wrinkles, bunny lines, and chin dimpling, while also lifting her brows and relaxing neck bands. Bonus: neurotoxin helps decrease oil production, which supports clearer, smoother skin.

Why We Recommend Planning 1 Year Ahead

To achieve the best results, we prefer to map out treatments at these intervals:

  • 1 year before: Build the foundation. Establish your skincare routine, start regular facials, and address acne or scarring with SkinPen microneedling, chemical peels, BioRePeel, or laser resurfacing like Morpheus8 or CO2.
  • 6 months before: Stay consistent with neurotoxin, facials, and microneedling. This is also the time to address any deeper concerns like facial balancing with filler.
  • 3 months before: Make sure tox and filler are done now so they have time to settle and heal (we recommend filler and neurotoxin at least 4–6 weeks before your wedding).
  • 1 month before: Focus on glow. This is usually just facials, dermaplane, or DiamondGlow to keep your skin radiant and photo-ready.

Treatment Planning for Every Bride

Every bride’s needs are different, which is why we customize each treatment plan. Here’s what’s typically included:

  • Neurotoxin every 3–4 months to smooth fine lines and prevent wrinkles
  • A solid skincare routine with medical-grade products
  • Regular facials like HydraFacial, DiamondGlow, or dermaplane for exfoliation and hydration
  • SkinPen microneedling for collagen production, acne scars, and texture
  • Filler for facial balancing (done 4–6 weeks before the wedding)
  • Peels or laser resurfacing if acne or scarring is a concern
  • PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) to restore under-eye brightness and support collagen

Our golden rule: no bruised brides walking down the aisle! We plan your filler and tox well in advance, so you look refreshed, natural, and glowing—not swollen or frozen.
